JAARS

Our church tries to have a very international focus. There were plans made to go visit an organization that was just a little south of where we were staying in Concord. In Waxhaw, NC is the JAARS headquarters that helps with the technology and transportation end of mission work to groups like Wycliffe Bible Translators. They were having an open house the Saturday that we were staying at Tom Johnson. Most of our church was heading down to visit so we decided to make the trip down.
It just so happens that an high school buddy of Carl's is an instructor pilot there. He has not seen him in years so the plan was also made to visit with B.J. Diggins for a while
It ended up being a most interesting day learning about how all the advanced in technology is spreading the gospel far and wide. What they can do with cell phones is absolutely amazing. The kids had a blast and got to record there voices into the Jesus Film and explore the planes. We also got to go on a "jungle ride" in a 4 wheeler. It was so much fun.
The day was caped off by meeting at Golden Corral with our church family and catching up before we head south. What a blessed day.
