Still Allliveee!

April 5, 2015

I hope you all are having a blessed resurrection day.
We are finally in a place that has internet and the personal hotspots are working.

We have been on a southward adventure through South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.

We celebrated Easter at the chapel on base at Tyndall Air Force Base near Panama City, FL. It was definitely an interesting service. Let me just say that we have been absolutely spoiled from the bible exposition of the teachers we have sat under the past few years.

I actually feel sorry for the chaplains who have to fit every protestant kind of religion into one service. The kids definitely learned some new things.

Today we stepped foot in the Gulf of Mexico. That is something that has always been on my bucket list. We swan and swam for about 4 hours. The kids had a blast. The water was cool and clear. We searched for shells for hours and got a lot of sun. Tirzah decided to take a nap on me and I could not move. It was freezing due to my wet body. We finally had to leave as the constant wind chilled Tirzah and me to the bone. Our teeth were chattering when we left.

I did not get a chance to take any pictures as I did not want to get sand in my camera. I wish I had as the sand was WHITE. It looked like snow and it was the smoothest, coolest sand I have ever had my feet in. It was so much finer that the North Carolina sand I am used to. Due to the fact that  it was so fine, it got everywhere. I have never had so much sand in...my bathing suit. It was everywhere. Carl and I found a huge amount on our bed. We had to take the bed all a part to get rid of it all. It was beautiful to look at though.

We had an Easter dinner of corned beef and cabbage and roasted potatoes. It was delicious. I did get a little emotional as we have had most every Easter dinner since we moved to North Carolina with my mom and dad. I am looking forward to seeing them later this week.

That is the plan. We are leaving FL tomorrow and heading to Alabama. We then will drive to TN and GA with NC coming on Wednesday or Thursday.
We plan to be at Falls Lake by Thursday as Carl has Army duty all weekend.,
I just wanted to give a quick update as it has been a month since I last posted anything.

I have been journaling most everyday and I am going to be slowly posting them with pictures. We have seen some incredible things on this trip.

Get ready to go on journey through the southern states with me over the next week. I will try not to post to many a day so you all can have a chance to read them all.

Again sorry for the delay in posting our updates. It has been a whirlwind. We have learned so much and grown closer to God and one another. We still have a lot of work to do but isn't that always the case when it comes to our relationship with God. We are to never be satisfied with where we are and to strive to grow more and know him more.

Get prepared for some updates people.
Anyone know the movie reference from the title?
