Evidence of a Miracle

Here are the promised pictures that prove that we are not crazy. The first was taken at the dealer before we even left the parking lot. The next three are of the hitch assembly and the damage that was done. The last is of the hitch attached properly with the hitch pin. We took that one yesterday afternoon after the fact to see if we could compare the pictures. We wanted to prove to the dealer that they forgot to put the pin in.
 
 This is what the hitch assembly looked like when we left the dealership. If you look closely you can see the receiver, hitch, and chains but NO PIN! It should be right there by where the chain is attached to the receiver.
This is a picture of the hitch assembly. You can clearly see that it is cracked all the way across. Pretty scary.
 This is another view of the hitch assembly. You can see that the top portion is cracked all the way through.
 A side view of the hitch assembly. You can see the crack going up the side of it. The thing by the  lower screw is where you put the ball from the weight distribution bar. That was one of the few things holding the entre trailer into place.
  
                                     
This is a picture that we took after we discovered what happened. We attached the hitch and the hitch pin to see if we could compare it to the first picture (the one we took at the dealer). Even without zooming in you can clearly see the hitch pin holding the hitch into the receiver.   It is the little metal piece right under the middle of the bumper. This is what it should look like.

Here are some zoomed in pictures for all you skeptics. The top one is from the first picture taken at the dealer that shows no pin.
The second one is zoomed in from the one taken yesterday after we discovered the problem clearly showing the pin in place and that it clearly is missing in the first photo.

We are still praising the Lord in this situation. This is just one more story in our journey that brings glory and honor to Him. Praise the Lord!!!

Transparent Tuesdays - A New Season of LIfe

The Sandwich Generation I always heard this phrase growing up but never truly understood it until the last few years. I have 6 children living at home that I am still providing for. But I also have a mother and father who are dealing with major health issues and need my help more and more. I am helping them walk through the loss of siblings. Helping them navigate caretakers and doctors' appointments and repairing cars and house improvements. And yet still trying to launch my own children into their own lives. I never thought in a week that I would be helping children do school, helping plan two weddings, and still have to help my mom deal with some tough decisions about my dad's care. It can be a huge weight on my mind, if I let it. It can also be a wonderful blessing.  I have watched two of my children meet and get engaged to two of the loveliest young ladies. Making Jesus Famous

I wrote this yesterday after our church service. January 7, 2018 There was an article this week on the news website that I check every day. The name of the article was “Are we paying the price for failing to honor and teach morals?” It was a very interesting article about the consequences in our nation due to the lack of morals that are being taught in our country. The author basically stated that parents, the church, the education system, and culture itself have failed to teach this generation basic morals and values. The author’s conclusion was as follows, “ This is how amoral societies work. They tear down restrictions in the name of freedom; they later find those discarded structures protected innocent victims and society generally from the evil committed by morally ungoverned souls.
